Russia and the EU are completing the project of an electronic government named State for the People.

It stipulates a system of on-line government services to the population embracing the territory from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Ocean. The EU has allocated 2mln euro for the implementation of the project. Its presentation will take place in Moscow on the 29th of September.

This is not the first joint project of Russia and the EU. In 2004-2009 similar programmes were implemented in Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Novgorod, Petrozavodsk and St. Petersburg. Tweet
